Album Preview and Details for Bethany Pedigo’s “From Broken to Beautiful” LP

From Broken to Beautiful will be released June 9th, 2018, but it is available right now to our $3/month and up supporters on Patreon! Coming soon to iTunes, Amazon, and streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify…

From Broken to Beautiful is Bethany Pedigo’s debut LP with Bad Apple Records. A familiar face, having opened for various acts on our label (and often singing harmony with All Around the Dinner Table), Bethany now leaves her own footprint with this strong collection of songs. Here you will celebrate and wrestle with concepts of family, God, abuse, death, and complicated relationships. From vulnerable acoustic tracks like “Taylor’s Song (When the Lights Go Out)” or “Not Too Far” to catchy-yet-complex pop rock tunes like “Ravish My Heart” or “A Million Times,” Bethany has truly refined her voice with this collection, which we’re proud to help her share with you now.

Behind the Video: “Day of Our Reunion” by All Around the Dinner Table

You never really lose the things you love.

Watch the Full Video on YouTube!

On Easter morning I finally bit my lip and uploaded my first music video. It was a challenge due to my negative self image, but it was time to let it be seen.

I am not a pop star. I am a regular guy. A dad, with a “dad bod” and limited formal acting experience. All that said, I am very proud of this video and thankful to have it. Day of Our Reunion is a very special song for me, and I was anxious about getting it right.

First let me say what a good job Ryan Staples did putting this video together. You have seen his work with videos for Why They Came like Up the Wrong Tree, Echo 3 to Echo 7, and Cowardly Lion as well as So Close by Sempervivi and For the Record by Re-Education Camp. He is great at making something from nothing. Just hang out and drink with your best friends and you’ll walk away with a really fun (and really well made) music video. But, like I said, this song means so much to me, and I have a specific story in mind that I wanted to tell with the video.  Continue reading Behind the Video: “Day of Our Reunion” by All Around the Dinner Table

Solar Eclipse of the Heart

Today is a big day for many of us across the United States, as we’ll be witnessing the rare event of a total solar eclipse. Some of us will see totality for a matter of minutes, and others for mere seconds. It’s hard not think on the passage of time and look back on all the unique events of one’s life. We hope everyone is able to do so with fond memories and hopes for a bright future.

For some of us, it’s also a good day to jam to Stellar Kin’s 2004 cover of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler and appreciate our days in the thriving and caring music scene of the early 2000’s. If you missed out on that, pump up the volume on the video below and consider grabbing We Need to Know on iTunes for more. A lot has changed since then, but as music audiences have declined our family of artists continues to grow. Maybe hearing this will rekindle some old memories and encourage you to reconnect?
